TripleP is a valuable program to share with the team prior to annual planning, adopting new technology, or determining how to bring in new standards, new technology, or employee development and management.

This Learning Path was introduced at the Annual Meeting in Whitehorse 2026 with the session:
Canada’s Productivity Crisis and Your Business.

Without productivity, business is hard and yet Productivity can seem like an inaccessible set of factors or something meant for larger firms. The truth is that Productivity is the key to profitability without burnout.

The Triple P Productivity Blueprint works through how a professional practice creates value: the people who do the work, the way that work is organised and paid for, and what shows up in the margin at the end.

It’s built for firms that have grown, and whose structure was set up for an earlier version of themselves. That’s a common place to be. Jim Pelot calls it the Doldrums — the success of the firm has outrun the design of the firm — and in that place the usual responses, more hours and more effort, don’t move profitability much.

Starting with the fundamental concept of value creation in a professional services firm we then explore the organization needed to deliver that value, the compensation-development-billout relationship, and then dive deep into what makes this firm productive and the factors that whittle away productivity and profit.
The path runs in five stages:

  1. You begin with how value gets created in your firm and who creates it.
  2. Next move into the organizational design questions: what roles exist, at what levels, in what ratio, and how they’re supported.
  3. Compensation then sits on top of that design, so pay has a structure behind it rather than a negotiation history.
  4. The fourth stage is the numbers — the drivers behind gross margin and EBIT — how to read them and how to impact them.
  5. The last is about installing and execution, which is its own piece of work.

This learning path has you explore and discover frameworks, business concepts, as well as financial and organizational analysis and design in a very accessible way. Non-prescriptive, rather this program helps you explore your existing paradigm and identify how to customize these ideas for your business. You work on your own firm as you go. Each stage leaves you with something you built: a chart, a band, a diagnostic, a plan for the year.
